Auburn - Marie Antionette Mitchell, 79 of Auburn passed away Monday December 29, 2025.
She was born March 30, 1946 in Topeka, Kansas to Edward and H. "Lucille" (Balding) Schiffli and they have both passed away.
Marie was a seamstress for the former Window Boutique in Auburn and also worked for Party Lite Candles. She enjoyed her volunteer work for the Curiosity Shop in Garrett.
She married Charley Mitchell on June 11, 1966 in Auburn and he passed away May 8, 2019.
Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Cynthis Mitchell of Auburn and a daughter, Michelle Mitchell of Auburn; 4 grandchildren, Abby Mitchell, Emma Mitchell, Tina Mitchell and Allen Colgate; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and April Schiffli of Orland and a sister-in-law, Sharon Bury of Auburn.
A funeral Mass will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday January 6, 2026 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Auburn. Calling is Monday January 5, 2026 from 4 to 7 PM at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN and also 1 hour prior to the Mass Tuesday from 1 to 2 PM at the church. Marie was a wonderful volunteer for the Curiosity Shop. She had an infectious laugh which many of the other volunteers and customers enjoyed. She had a kind word for everyone. She will be greatly missed.
