Marie A. Morin

Marie A. (Michaud) Morin, 98 years, 11 months and 1 day old, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 21, 2023 at MidState Medical Center. Marie was born on September 20, 1924 in Grand Isle, Maine, one of seven children, to the late Joseph and Martha (Levesque) Michaud. By her family, she was affectionately known as 'Meme" and will be remembered for her many little sayings like, "Never can tell." She loved being surrounded by her family, especially hosting holidays and special family gatherings at her home. She also enjoyed crocheting and gifted her beautiful afghans to all of her grandchildren. Marie is survived by her daughter, Betty-Jean Wisner, 5 grandchildren; Kelly Thomas, Rob Wisner (Jen), Allison Wisner, Chris Morin (Kristin Stewart), Nick Morin (Karolina Potochney), 7 great-grandchildren; Zachary, Tanner, Lukas, Tigerlily, Zola, Charlie and Tessa and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Bertrand Morin, son, Anthony "Butch" Morin, her infant sister Sadie, three brothers, Gilbert, Adrian and Arthur Michaud and two sisters, Anita Levesque and Therese Losito. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie's memory may be made to Mulberry Gardens Adult Day Program, 58 Mulberry St., Plantsville, CT 06479. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 28, 2023 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held before the service from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Please wear Marie's favorite color, BLUE, in celebration of her life.
