Marie Suzanne Nachtigall

MARIE SUZANNE NACHTIGALL Marie Suzanne Nachtigall, age 60, went to be with her Savior on November 20, 2025, in Newton, Kansas. She was born on May 30, 1965, in Newton, Kansas, to her proud parents, Andrew and Adena Nachtigall. Marie was baptized as a youth at Koerner Heights Church in Newton, Kansas, and remained a faithful member throughout her life. She attended Berean Academy, graduating in 1984, and later completed two years of college. Marie had a deep love for children and devoted much of her life to caring for them. She worked in daycare, served in the church nursery, and volunteered for many years with the weekday Bible school program in the Newton School District. Her patience, kindness, and gentle spirit touched the lives of those who knew her. Marie is survived by her siblings: Mike (Mel) Nachtigall of Galva; Mark (Kathy) Nachtigall of McPherson; and Karen (Mark) Stahl of Kokomo, Indiana. She leaves behind eight nieces and nephews and one great-nephew, all of whom brought her great joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Adena Nachtigall. Marie was loved and cherished by her immediate family, her large extended family, and her church community. Visitation will be held at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, Kansas, on November 25, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial Service will take place at Koerner Heights Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 N. Meridian Rd, Newton, KS 67114, on November 26, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.
