Marie Therese Paquin, 89, of Ocala, Florida went home to our Lord on August 17, 2021.  She was born in Metz, France February 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Charles and Marie Marechal.

A devout Catholic, Marie survived the ravages of WWII, with her hometown being bombed by the invading Nazi forces, spending a good portion of her childhood in a convent in the French countryside.  She was well educated, speaking many languages and eventually into nursing school. She married John Richard Paquin, US Army, had her son Greg in Metz and was later reunited with John in 1958, coming to America aboard the Queen Elizabeth. After a brief stay with family in Iron Mountain, MI, finally settled in Ocala, Florida where she had another son Chris and a daughter Valerie and spent the remainder of her life.

A devoted wife and mother, she raised her children and eventually entered the workforce in 1970 as a receptionist for Amrep Corp. (Silver Springs Shores)  Being multi-lingual, she quickly became an invaluable asset and moved into sales, handling the foriegn clients. Later working for General Development, then All Florida Realty Services, her wonderful personality, charming accent and intellegence endeared her to all who met her. A life member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, a charter member of a local French club, and active in MCYFL following her grandchildren and great grandchildren through the league. An avid "garage saler" with her lifelong friends, Marianne and Monica. She finally retired and spent the remainder of her life spoiling her grand kids and great grand kids.
