Marie Rolande Prince, 62, went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2025, at Overlook Hospital after several months of battling Congestive Heart failure. Born on August 20, 1963, in Gonaives, Haiti to the late Mr. Jean Nicholas Blanc-Cadet and Mrs. Oriantine Limage. She was the third of six children. In 1989, Rolande married her loving husband of 36 years, Lifaite Prince. A year later, she gave birth to her first child, Ruben Prince. 9 years later, Rolande moved to the United States with her son, to join her husband in 1998. In 1999, While living in Newark, NJ, Rolande gave birth to her second child, Landly Prince. She then settled in Union, NJ with her husband and the children.
From early ages, Rolande was always known for her cooking and caring for others. Her home is well known as the gathering place for family and close friends for enjoying great meals and laughter, especially during Thanksgiving Dinner. Even when there seemed to be nothing left, she would make sure that you didn't leave her house empty-handed. Rolande was very passionate about caring for others. She pursued her CNA certification while caring for the family and close friends. In 2004, Rolande began her career at Alaris Health Care located in Cedar Grove, NJ caring for patients. While working there, she made numerous friends and left a great impact on their lives until March 2025 when she tragically suffered a stroke. Rolande was a loving wife, great mother, grandmother, sister, friend, God fearing woman, and a dedicated person. She was a loving grandmother to both Chloe and Carter Prince.
Rolande is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Lifaite Prince, her son Ruben Prince, daughter Landly Prince, and grandchildren Chloe and Carter Prince. She is also survived by her remaining siblings Nelson Blanc-Cadet and Charles Belaire Blanc-Cadet. She's joining her late sisters Marie Nicole Blanc-Cadet and Marie Rode Blanc-Cadet. She also leaves behind her nieces, Lovely St. Phard, Suwina, Ashley, and Ruth Cadet and her nephews Lesley Vincent, Carlo Vincent, and Karlengels Celima. Her uncles Roosvelt Limage and family, Wilner Limage and family, Clervius Limage and family, Cheder Limage and family, and the late Bossuet Odigealong with her aunts Miracienne Clerjuste and family, Yvonne Limage and family and the late Eliette Saintil-Fils and family with countless cousin's and many friends she adored.
