I love and miss you, Nana! Say hi to Grampa for me!!

(I'm Roger & Joan Morton's daughter. Marie was my late mother's sister.)

I always *loved* Marie. I used to BEG my mother to go to her house in Westwood. Ok, ok... IT WAS THE POOL. But I SERIOUSLY ALSO loved Aunt Marie! I was very sorry to hear of her passing. I know my dad had been trying to get her on the phone for a while now. I see from the obit that she was visiting cousin Susie in Florida. That would explain it! I can't tell how how it tugs at my heart to look at her picture. So much like my mom. I remember my mother telling the tale repeatedly how they used to fight like cats & dogs because it drove my mother crazy how Marie would put. each. string. of. tinsel. just. so. on. the. tree. and my mother was like 'JUST FLING IT WILL YA!?!" And that later in life, they became very close. Whenever my 3 girls have a dust up, I remind them of this story. That friends come & go, but sisters are forever, even the ones you want to fling like tinsel! Warmest hugs to all. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I will look forward to seeing you in the spring.

My sympathy to the Reed family and all members of the Ash family I knew growing up in Quincy. Marie and I became friends again when I became a member of St.Denis parish. She will always be remembered as a lovely gracious person.
