Marie A. Biondi Skelton

Marie A. Biondi Skelton, age 67 of Newark, DE passed away on October 18, 2009 at Heartland Hospice House in Wilmington, DE. Born in Chester County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Biondi, Sr. and Rose Perrotti Biondi. Marie was a paraprofessional for the State of Delaware in Wilmington, DE for 12 years, retiring in 2006. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena in Wilmington, DE. Marie volunteered at the Jesus House. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by a son, Gregory Skelton and his wife Shannon of Odessa, DE; two brothers, Joseph Biondi, Jr. of Newark, DE and Anthony Biondi of Allentown, PA; and by three grandchildren, Emily, Mackenzie, and Hunter. You are invited to visit with Marie’s family and friends on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 9:30 to 11:00 am at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church, 8910 Gap Newport Pike (Rt. 41), Avondale, PA. Her funeral mass will follow at 11 am. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Kennett Square, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marie’s memory to the Delaware SPCA, 455 Stanton Christiana Rd., Newark, DE 19713.
