Mrs. Helen Marie Maness Warren, age 80, of Burlington, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at her residence after several months of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Fred Washington Maness and the late Laura Pauline Fuqua Maness and was married to the late Odis Harrison Warren, who passed in 2018. She graduated from Haw River High School. Marie retired after 60 years of employment in the grocery industry and worked at several grocery stores, including, A&P, Byrd’s, Winn-Dixie and Food Lion. She formerly attended Haw River Christian Church, volunteered for Loaves & Fishes and enjoyed painting, reading and spending time by the swimming pool.
Mrs. Warren is survived by her daughter, Paula Hall and husband, Bobby; her son, Dennis Gravitte; three grandchildren, Maxwell, Jeffery and Alexander Gravitte; her sister, Ellen Norton and husband, Tom; and her granddog, “Benji” who she adored.
Due to Mrs. Warren’s wishes there will be no services at this time.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Teresa Hill for her dedicated and loving care of Marie during her illness.
