Mrs. Marie Grant Wingo

Mrs. Marie Grant Wingo, age 98, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026 at The Cottages in Rockmart, Georgia.

She was born on March 7, 1927 in Haralson County, Georgia to Mr. James Andrew Grant and Mrs. Josephine Redden Grant. She worked as a supervisor for Peco for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend.

In addition to her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her spouses, Doc Buchanan and John Wingo; children, Roger Buchanan, Revel Buchanan, and Clifton Buchanan; grandson, Nathan Buchanan; granddaughter, Teresa McDowell; brothers, GW Grant and Elwood Grant; sister, Louise Reddon.

Marie is survived by her son, Jimmy Buchanan (Nell); grandchildren, Randall Buchanan (Marie), Scott Buchanan (Winnie), Stacy Buchanan, Debbie Crowder (John); great grandchildren, Nicole Buchanan, Nicholas Buchanan, Amber Buchanan, Hannah McDowell Peterson, Eric Crowder, Chad Crowder, and Kayla Crowder; many great great grandchildren; other extended family and friends also survive.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Marie Grant Wingo will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 11 A.M. at Benson Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Sutton officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. at Benson Funeral Home.

An Inurnment will take place at a later date at Sweetwater Memorial Park.
