Marieca Rose McCracken, age 45, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away on Friday September 13,2024 at Bronson hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Marieca was born in Battle Creek to Sarah Bowerman on January 24, 1979. She graduated from Battle Creek public school after which she worked in the home health care field, and primarily stayed in the food service field, working at numerous restaurants in the Battle creek area. Marieca loved to spend time with her friends and family and loved to cook. She was a fantastic cook and many times would deliver meals to her family and friends just because. Her favorite thing was spending time with her son, Davion Holland, attending school outings, swimming in the pool, watching movies, cooking him his favorite foods, and playing at the park. He was the love of her life, and for Marieca, her proudest moment was when she and Joseph Holland welcomed him into the world. Davion was her everything. Marieca is survived by her mother, Sarah Bowerman, brother, Douglas McCracken, and her dear son, Davion Holland, and grandmother Joan McCracken, as well as an aunt and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Derrick McCracken.
Services for Marieca will be held Saturday September 21, 2024 at Richard A. Henry Funeral Home in Battle Creek. Visitation will be at 12:00 and service will follow at 1:00 p.m.
Marieca will be dearly missed by all of her friends and family. Donations may be made to your local food bank in Battle Creek.
