Marieta Ann Light Wallace

Marieta Ann Light Wallace, 80, of Pine Bluff, was a soft spoken, outgoing woman who had a great smile, always ready to go somewhere, enjoyed her casino trips with her sisters and gardening.
She passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024 in Rison.
Mrs. Wallace was born February 25, 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee, daughter of Louie T. and Lorene Wallace Light.
She moved to Pine Bluff at a young age and went to school in Dollarway.
Mrs. Wallace worked at Aramark Uniforms for nearly 20 years, retiring in 2002.
She was a lifelong Baptist who loved her Lord and spending time with family and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Light and Jimmy Light; and one sister, Flora Harris.
Survivors include her former husband and caregiver, Earl Wallace; daughter, Lisa Waddle (John) of Pine Bluff; son, Richard Wallace of Pine Bluff; two grandsons, Joshua Holloway (Torie) of Star City and Matthew Wallace (Ariel) of White Hall; two brothers, Gerald Light of Star City and David Light of Star City; five sisters, Frances Taylor of Star City, Carolyn Usoff of Millington, Tennessee, Linda Vaughn of Little Rock, Deborah King of White Hall and Helen Pierce of Byhalia, Mississippi; and four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Annaleigh and Laynie Wallace and Sunnie Holloway.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Brother Travis Creekmore officiating. Interment will follow in Good Faith Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Robinson's.
