Marietta B. Ciarlone, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025. She was 87 years old. Born in New Haven on February 22, 1938, daughter of the late Nicholas J. and Edith I. Rossini Falcone.
A longtime resident of Hamden, CT, Marietta was the heart of her family and a constant source of love, strength, and warmth. Her life was marked by her deep devotion to those she held dear and her quiet, enduring grace.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph V. Ciarlone Sr.; her devoted children, Paula Ziwak and Ralph V. Ciarlone Jr. (Rebecca) her cherished grandchildren, Nicole Edgington and her husband Mike, Eric Ziwak, Michael Ciarlone and his wife, Carlie, and Lindsey (Dan) Ciarlone; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Zachary, MacKenzie, and Madelyn.
Marietta also leaves behind her sister, Frances Pallman, and her two nieces, Christy Pallman and Cindy (Jim) Davis, all of whom brought joy to her life and held a special place in her heart.
Family and friends may call at MARESCA & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Chapel St., New Haven, on Wednesday, from 5 p.m.to 7 p.m. and are invited to go directly to St. Joseph's Church, 129 Edwards St., New Haven, to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, at 10 a.m. Interment in All Saints Cemetery.
