Marilee Alice Page Reitman, beloved mother, sister, daughter, godmother, aunt, and friend, passed away on December 6, 2024, in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was 73 years old.
Born on January 9, 1951, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Marilee was the cherished daughter of the late Dennis Benjamin Page and Louise Fraser Page. She grew up in Wallingford, CT, spent time in Boston, MA, and later relocated to southeastern Florida. She is survived by her son, Isaac Asa Abraham Agulnik Reitman; her brothers, Dennis Hallet Page and Robert Winthrop Page, with his wife, Deborah Mansfield Page; and many adoring nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews.
Marilee was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School and Northeastern University. She worked as a physical therapist before committing her time and talents to non-profits in and around Ft. Lauderdale and devoting herself whole-heartedly to her son's health and well-being. Asa brought her great joy; her fierce dedication to him was a testament to her love and strength.
Marilee was elegant, generous, and kind. Her biting sense of humor was admired and feared by all who knew her. Marilee could really commit to a bit; she and her younger brother exchanged a single sticker, hiding it in presents and pockets, for 40+ years. She was a talented dancer with a love of food, particularly Jacaranda's Pizza and her dad's cheeseburgers. She firmly believed that everyone should have a cake on their birthday. Marilee was an understanding listener, who gave the best advice. She was a stranger to no one, quickly embracing new acquaintances into her fold.
A memorial service honoring Marilee will take place at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Wallingford, on Saturday, November 1, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please eat a piece of cake or cheeseburger in Marilee's honor.
