Marilin Joy Evans

Marilin Joy McIntosh Evans passed away peacefully on June 14, 2010, in her home in Fort Collins, CO. She was born on March 4, 1928, in Murray, UT to Donald and Melba McIntosh. On July 10, 1948, Marilin married Glen Jensen Evans. She received a degree in English and continued learning throughout her life. Marilin lived a full life caring for "her girls" and family. She received numerous awards for her extensive volunteer work at Loma Linda Hospital. She also gave of her time and love to the Poudre School District and the library. Marilin was an avid reader, loved sewing and knitting, crossword puzzles, and opera. She was an extremely generous and giving person with a cutting sense of humor. Affectionately known as "Oma" to her 11 grandchildren, she is also survived by her 4 daughters, Tracy Evans (WVC, UT), Elyse Wolff (Fort Collins, CO), Kelly Beardall (Murray, UT), and Gaye Young (Nampa, ID). Others survivors include her brother, Howard McIntosh, sisters, Hazel Weight and Faye Jarvis, and her cat, Baron. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister and her husband Glen. As her children, we would like to express a special thank you to Mandy, from Right at Home, for her exceptional help with Marilin. There will be an Open House 11:00 am to 12:30 pm Friday, June 18, 2010, at the LDS Meetinghouse on 932 W. Green Oaks Dr. in Murray, UT. A graveside service is scheduled for 3:00 pm June 21, 2010, at Mountain View Cemetery, 570 E. Highland Dr., San Bernardino, CA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society or the LDS Missionary Fund.
