Marillyn Norene Knuteson

Marillyn N. Knuteson (née Wicklund) of Hugo, MN passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2026. Preceded in death by husband George, parents Arnold and Ruth Wicklund, siblings Bonnie Westlund and David Wicklund. Survived by sons Dan (Erin) and Eric (Mary); grandchildren Asher, Lauren (Christian) Timm, Ava, Chloe, Audrey; great-grandchild Charlotte Timm.

Born in Ashland WI, Marillyn grew up in the Nekoosa/Wisconsin Rapids area and in 2nd grade at church met her future husband George. She graduated from Hamline University (Minnesota) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, married and soon thereafter began a family in St. Paul. Following a move to Withrow MN, she became an integral part of Whisper Glide Swings, a company specializing in wheelchair accessible swings started by her husband George and family friend Marty Babcock.

Marillyn was a woman of faith and spent much time with church and volunteer work with CFO - an organization dedicated to outdoor camps for children to learn the importance of a Christ centered life. She was a dedicated homemaker, mother and grandmother and will certainly be missed by those who knew her.

In lieu of memorials or flowers, Marillyn would ask you to spend time with your own family and friends. Life goes fast, enjoy it while you can.
