Marilyn Lucille Aiken, 84, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Linn Manor in Marion. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Marilyn was born on August 9, 1941, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Alfred and Lucille (Welsh) Mason. She attended St. Patrick’s Catholic School. Marilyn worked for a time at Me Too Grocery Store and Fleetway in Marion. She was also a self-employed housekeeper for many years, until her retirement. Marilyn attended St. Patrick’s Parish in Cedar Rapids. She enjoyed fishing and gardening and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye sports fan. Marilyn will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Marilyn is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Keith (DeNell) Kern of Belle Plaine, Minnesota; daughter, Deborah Bustamante of Mt. Vernon, Iowa; five grandchildren, Charlie (Rachel) Kern, Jessica Bustamante, Cody Sexe, Benjamin Sexe, and Dylan Sexe; and four great-grandchildren, Carter, Collins, Cameron, and Daija Rae.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Patricia Mason; and two brothers, Richard and Jim Mason.
