Marilyn Mae Beluscheck

Marilyn Mae Beluscheck passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 18, 1930, to James and Marjorie Candlin.

Her life was marked by unwavering devotion to family, the traditions she lovingly upheld, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met. After spending her childhood years growing up and attending school in the Pullman neighborhood of Chicago, Marilyn met her husband, Phil, at a YMCA dance in their late teenage years. Together, they shared a loving, playful, and enduring 74-year marriage filled with laughter and lighthearted teasing.

As a mom, she had a knack for creating mischievous, fun, and lively adventures each day, and as "Grandy", she was always delighted to care for and cheer on her granddaughters in their athletic and academic pursuits.

She proudly lived at her home in Western Springs, Illinois for 53 years, where she hosted memorable holiday dinners and tended to her garden. She also enjoyed annual trips to Colonial Williamsburg to express her patriotism and to Boca Grande, Florida for relaxing family vacations.

Marilyn was considered royalty by those who loved her, with her family often joking that she carried herself like a queen. She was quick-witted and beloved for her perfectly timed one-liners that brought laughter to every gathering.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Phil Beluscheck; daughter, Judith (Michael) Wilson; grandchildren, Sarah Coady (Eric Niedzwiecki) and Jennifer (Jason) Kerestes; and great-grandson, Peter Niedzwiecki. She was predeceased by her parents; siblings, Joyce Monaghan and Jim Candlin; and son-in-law, Thomas Coady.

Interment will be private. Celebration of life details will be provided at a later date.
