Marilyn Bingham Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Audubon Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Slidell on May 29, 2025.
Marilyn May Bingham, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on July 22, 1947, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, Marilyn is the daughter of the late Milton and Mary Jane May.
Marilyn's life was one of dedication and service, which was evident in her long and rewarding career in healthcare administration. Her professional journey was marked by compassion and a commitment to excellence, traits that endeared her to colleagues and those under her care. Beyond her professional life, Marilyn was a member of the St. Tammany Master Gardeners, where her passion for nurturing life extended from people to plants. Her love for the natural world was also reflected in her personal joy of gardening at home and soaking in the serene views of the bayou.
Marilyn's faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she found great solace and fellowship in her church's bible study group. Marilyn's spiritual life was a wellspring of strength that she shared generously with those around her, guiding and uplifting her family and friends.
Marilyn's heart found joy in her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was married to the late Thomas Bingham for 36 years filled with many cherished memories. Together, they raised two sons, Jason and Lee Bingham. Her legacy continues to bloom in the lives of her grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Thomas Bingham, who were the recipients of her boundless love and wisdom.
Marilyn is also survived by her sisters, Peggy Goertz and Janet Morrison, who, along with a host of extended family members and friends, will fondly remember Marilyn as the embodiment of love-a word that best captures her essence.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.AudubonFuneralHome.com
