Marilyn Wagner Bladsacker

Marilyn Wagner Bladsacker, 91, of Gretna passed away August 11, 2022 peacefully and painlessly. Her family was by her side when the Lord took her to be with Him in Heaven. Marilyn was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 7, 1930. Marilyn lived at Springwood Retirement Suites in Arvada, CO, where she was loved by her friends and was a respected member of the greeting team and the Resident Council. Marilyn was a secretary and principal's aide for the Jefferson Parish School System throughout much of her life, but her passion and love was her family, which included those of her own blood and those she made her family. Marilyn and Gerald, her husband, were accepting of anyone who wanted to be loved as a family member, despite where they were from or how those people were adopted into the family. Marilyn showed God's love and acceptance to everyone she met and supported those who needed help. Marilyn is survived by her sons Gerald C. Bladsacker, Jr. and David A. Bladsacker; her grandchildren Ashley and John Wells, David Paul Leonard, Michelle and Paul Dufrene Sr., Adam Bladsacker, Kristi Carpenter, and Kimberly Bladsacker. She also leaves her great-grandchildren Macayla Wells, Jalyn Wells, Paul Dufrene Jr., and Brittany Dufrene. She is also survived by several great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many loving friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA. on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11 am.
