Marilyn Bricker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cook & Son-Pallay Funeral Home - Columbus on Mar. 31, 2026.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marilyn Mae Bricker, born on April 8, 1938, in the small town of Mt Sterling, Ohio. Marilyn was a beacon of resilience and spirit, illuminating the lives of those fortunate to know her. She was a dedicated wife, a supportive mother, and an adoring grandmother and great-grandmother. Marilyn had an unwavering commitment to her family, and her heart was always full of love and warmth for everyone around her.

Marilyn was born to the late Roderick and Rose Ott. From Mt Sterling, her journey took her to Bellefontaine and Lakeview, Ohio, before settling down in Columbus. On Christmas Eve of 1966, she married the love of her life, Ludric Bricker, who preceded her in death. In her professional life, Marilyn was a waitress in the restaurant industry, showing her dedicated and supportive nature. She had a knack for making everyone she served feel special, and her spirited personality was a ray of sunshine in the restaurant. In her later years, Marilyn found joy in being a homemaker. Her resilience was evident in the beautifully maintained home she created for her family.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Danielle Evoy (William), her granddaughters, Peighton Crayton (Jacob) and Megan Sambuco (Donald), and her grandson, Ryan Sambuco (Tea). She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren, Hunter Sambuco, Olivia Sambuco, Bennett Ogle, and Lillian Stiteler. Marilyn was preceded in death by her brothers, Gerald Ott, Bill Ott, and Jerry Ott, her sister, Jody Miller, and her niece, Teresa Ewart.

Marilyn's life was a testament to the power of love, dedication, and resilience. She is remembered, celebrated, and deeply missed. Please share your memories and photos of Marilyn on her memorial page, as we honor the legacy of this remarkable woman.
