Marilyn C. Collins

Marilyn C. (Post) Collins, 99 years old, daughter of the late Theodore and Anna Post (Semancik) died peacefully on March 3, 2026 with her family by her side. She was born in Union City, NJ on May 2, 1926. She attended Hamilton Grammar School where she met Frank, the love her life, when she was 10 years old. She graduated from Union High School in 1943. Following graduation, she worked at the Prudential in Newark, NJ. She waited for Frank to return from war an they married on October 5, 1946. Marylin enjoyed drawing fashion designs and sewing, often making her own clothes, but what she enjoyed most of all was her family. Having family around her was the most important thing.

Marylin is survived by 3 daughters; Susan of Fort Myers, FL, Patricia Taylor (Mark) of Woodland Hills, CA, Frances of Cape Coral, Fl; 2 sons, Thomas (Brenda) of North Fort Myers, Fl, David (DonnaMarie) of Alva, FL, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is predeceased by her brother, Theodore J. Post and her great-granddaughter, Raegan Elizabeth.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 3-5pm at Fuller Metz Cremation and Funeral Services 3740 Del Prado Blvd. Cape Coral, Fl. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 10:45 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church 2628 Del Prado Blvd. Cape Coral, FL.
