Marilyn Cory, age 68, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away at her home on March 7, 2026.
She was born in Pittsburgh, PA to Elmer and Florence (Cashmere) Medvitz and was raised in Warren, Ohio. Marilyn spent many years raising a family in the greater Akron area before moving to Glen Mills, PA, where she resided for the past 25 years.
She was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Warren, OH and Youngstown State University. Marilyn worked for several hospitals, including Hillside Hospital, Children's Hospital of Akron, and Hahnemann Hospital over a 15 year career. Marilyn was known for her artistic and creative nature both at work and at home, with hobbies including gardening, needlepoint, and building jigsaw puzzles.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her brother, James Medvitz.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Ken Cory; and her four children: Adam (Amanda) Cory, Sarah Cory, Andrew (Mary) Cory, and Rachel (Michael) Kovalchik; and her brother, Robert (Cynthia) Medvitz.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 1:00–2:00 PM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA 19060. A Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM.
Interment will take place on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Peninsula, Ohio.
