Marilyn Wright Etheredge

Marilyn Wright Etheredge, age 82 of Hendersonville passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026 after a long battle with COPD. Marilyn was born on January 5, 1944 in Harriman, Tennessee to the late William and Viola Wright.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Bill Etheredge; and siblings, Wesley Wright, Jack Wright, Ann Ladd, Georgia Williams, and John Wright.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Troy Etheredge (Gretchen); grandsons, Caleb and Chase Etheredge; siblings, Nancy Jenkins, Steve Wright, Thomas Wright, and Jerry Wright; and many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn worked for several years as a fingerprint technician with the FBI in Washington, D.C. and the TBI in Nashville, before becoming a full time home-maker after marriage and children. She and Bill were longtime members of First Baptist Church Hendersonville. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her large family and doing genealogical research.

Visitation for Marilyn will be on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman, TN from 12:00-2:00 P.M. eastern time. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 P.M. eastern time in the Dyllis Church Cemetery in Harriman.
