77 year old, Marilyn S. Hart, of DeMotte, passed away September 3, 2024 at her home.
On June 7, 1947, Marilyn was born to Dallas and Edna (Metz) Foster, in Valparaiso, Indiana. She married the love of her life, Mike Hart, on August 30, 1969, in Wheatfield, Indiana. Marilyn taught second grade and was a librarian at Wheatfield Elementary School for many years. Marilyn was a life member of the Wheatfield Church of Christ. She liked rock collecting, crocheting, and crafting. She liked to travel and do puzzles. She was a KV Softball Scorekeeper, Girl Scout Troop Leader, and a member of the KVSC Retired Teachers.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters: Amy (Mark) Osterhout, and Mindy Hart, granddaughter: Anna Mikaela, and fur grand-puppy: Maverick, siblings: Elinor Jo Te Vault, Phillip E. (Alice) Foster, James (Carol) Foster, Paul D. (Donna) Foster, Merry Anne (Marshall) Evans, Dallas G. (Susan) Foster, and Dr. Kenneth A. (Ruth) Foster, Patricia (Alan) Pointer, and several nieces and nephews. Marilyn enjoyed 18 years with her faithful furry friend, Rascal.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband: Mike, parents: Dallas & Edna Foster.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana 46392. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the DeMotte Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wheatfield Elementary Library.
