She was and is an inspiration as to what a woman of God should be. I loved her like a mother and I am deeply saddened to see that she has passed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I know she has moved on to a better place, but this world is a little more cold without the beauty that she gave. She named me Monk when I was in high school, I only wish I would have taken the time to introduce her to my wife and children. Until I see you again Marilyn, I love you.

I remember good times at FBC Wylie with Marilyn. Many times, we served as sponsors on youth trips and more than once, Marilyn was my roomie. I specifically remember one time we were on a college campus in one of the Carolinas. The hall in our Dorm was long with many doors that looked alike. Marilyn and I had difficulty finding our room so one of the kids put a piece of toilet paper (unused, of course) on the door so that Marilyn and I could find our room. I have many fond memories of times spent working in the youth department at Wylie First Baptist Church.
