Mrs. Marilyn was born on November 13, 1938, in Stanton, TN to David and Mildred Sims Mize. She was a housewife and homemaker. The loved taking care of her family throughout the years. Her faith was important to her. She not only believed the Word of God, but she also read it every day and lived it. Her faith grew as she read her Sunday School Lessons and read her Bible. She was a member of the Lebanon Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, working word puzzles, and coloring. She loved all children, but she was blessed with amazing grandchildren, and they were the joy of her life.
She is survived by one son, Billy Howard, Jr. (Theresa) of Brownsville, TN; two daughters, Rhonda Howard Harden (Randy) of Stanton, TN and Patricia Howard Parr (Chuck) of Brownsville, TN; nine grandchildren, Josh Howard, Dan Howard (Kimberley), Jessie Rosales, Trevor Williams, Erica Parr, Drake Parr, Ashtyn Terry, Madison Johnson (Kolby), and Emma Milton; six great-grandchildren, Colton Rosales, Lucus Rosales, Elena Rosales, Chrisslyn Howard, Kenley Howard, and Eli Howard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rogers Howard, Sr. and her parents, David W. Mize and Mildred Inez Sims Mize.
Pallbearers for the service will be Colton Rosales, Josh Howard, Trevor Williams, Tony Taylor, Dan Howard, and David Henderson, Jr.
The family has requested memorials be made to the LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, 50 North Dunlap St., Memphis, TN 38103. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
