Marilyn Elaine Hughes Wilson, age 89, passed away peacefully at her home on November 27, 2025. Marilyn was born in Duluth, MN, on August 15, 1936, and has lived on the Outer Banks since 1987.
She was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Nags Head, NC. Marilyn was always involved in the Volunteer Bible Education work and visited all sorts of people from Duck to Manteo, encouraging everyone to apply the Bible principals to have a more peaceful everyday life.
Beyond her volunteer work, she loved gardening and bird watching. Then there was her joy of visiting Lady Victoria for the fun clothes, and enjoying a nice, chilled Martini.
Marilyn is survived by her three children; Teri Stewart, Tamie Lubinger, and Ed Hughes. She is also survived by her two granddaughters, Holly Elaine Davis and Amber Rachelle Baker, and her four great grandchildren, Zachary Davis, Jodie Hall, Anthony Hall & Leila Hall.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 1:00 pm at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 114 E. Baltic St, Nags Head, NC. For those wishing to attend by Zoom please contact the family or friends for the information.
