Marilyn dedicated her professional life to the field of cosmetology, where she worked as a cosmetologist and later became the owner of her own cosmetology school. Her passion for her work and her commitment to her students left a lasting impact on many.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Philip and Alice Wood. Marilyn is survived by her devoted husband, John Lehmann, and their cherished daughters: Katie Lehmann and her partner Sandy Darrow, Susan Walton, and Carolyn Long and her husband Jeffrey. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Lindsey Walton, Sydney Walton, Erin Long and her husband Christopher D'Ambrosio, and John Long and his fiancee, Samantha Weldon.
A memorial service to honor Marilyn's life will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, located at 101 N Peachtree Pkwy, Peachtree City, GA 30269.
In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations to Southwest Christian Care, 7225 Lester Rd., Union City, GA 30291.
Marilyn's warmth, dedication, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Marilyn was a very special lady. I will never forget loaning my childhood best friend, John, to her 66 years ago, after he found her and she chose him to be her husband. She was a very classy lady and wife and the two of them were inseparable. It was a marriage made in heaven and although Marilyn will be missed terribly, she made a place as a wife and mother who will be honored forever! Rest in peace Marilyn, the kids will have John's back!
