Born in Buffalo, NY on February 10,1945 the only child of Arlyne and Luther Johnson.

When I young child her parents moved to Jamestown, NY. Marilyn was a 1963 graduate of Jamestown High School. After graduation she went to work at Chautauqua National Bank, which became Marine Midland Bank.

While on a vacation in California she met Richard Martin who was in the Navy. They were married in Las Vegas on Sept. 09, 1966. After his discharge from the Navy they settled back to Jamestown. They had two daughters, Christine and Danielle. Marilyn returned to work at JC Penny, Chautauqua Mall.

In 1980, tired of the winter months the family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas. Although Marilyn loved Jamestown and the many friends she left behind, she was able to enjoy and be happy with her new life in Texas. She worked at First National Bank, for 19 years. She got to know many people and was blessed with wonderful friends. She loved those Happy Hours.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard J Martin, two daughters she loved very much, Christine E. Crespo and Danielle R. Martin. Four wonderful grandchildren, Sean Poe, Shana Poe, Richard McKown and Arlyne McKown and two great grandchildren, Parker Poe and Allison Poe who she will greatly miss.

Marilyn an avid animal lover, would prefer in leu of flowers a donation be sent to Pet Wees Pet Adoption (1307 Saratoga Blvd., Corpus Christi Texas 78417 or 361-888-4141) or an animal rescue of your choice.

"Are the dogs in?"

"Is the door locked?"

"I love you all"

A private memorial service will be held and her ashes returned to Jamestown.
