Marilyn Minter Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and soon to be great grandmother Marilyn Minter, 83, of Duluth, who passed away on March 27th, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was a woman defined by kindness, generosity, and a deep commitment to caring for others.

After retiring as an LPN from the Duluth Clinic West she dedicated much of her time to volunteering in her community, especially at the Damiano Center. She was also active at St. Paul’s Episcopal church, where she helped organize and support luncheons and gatherings, always making sure people felt welcome, comfortable, and cared for. She loved to cook and be in the kitchen.

More than anything, she cherished her family. Her grandchildren were a special source of joy in her life. She loved spending time with them, sharing stories, laughter, and creating memories they will carry with them always. Her love for them was constant, steady, and deeply felt.

She will be remembered for her giving heart and her ability to make people feel valued and cared for. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched, both in her community and within her family.

She is survived by her children, Sherri Latif (Alexander Latif), Joseph Minter, and Tony Minter (Stephanie Minter); grandchildren, Nourah Latif Calabrese (Matt Calabrese), Amani Latif, Ramzy Latif, Cole Minter, Caitlin Minter; Brother’s Jim and Richard Anderson and Joe’s caretaker and family friend, Kevin Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Minter, her father William Anderson, her mother Mildred Anderson, brothers Dewayne and William Anderson.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00am with a Visitation beginning at 10:00am on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1710 E. Superior Street, Duluth

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Damiano Center or Second Harvest, in honor of her lifelong dedication to helping others.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
