Marilyn C. (Long) Pereira, 91, formerly of Everett and Andover, beloved wife of the late Donald Pereira, passed away peacefully, on Monday, October 17th, 2022, at CedarView Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, in Methuen. Born in Chelsea, she was the loving daughter of the late Alfred and Nellie (Peach) Long.
Marilyn shared twenty six years with her companion Kenneth Jayne.
Marilyn, loved to shop, and was well known for her sense of fashion. She was always the best dressed one in the room. She enjoy traveling to Naples Florida as well as many cruises to the Caribbean and Hawaii. For many years, Marilyn was the hostess of Grassfields restaurant in Andover. She enjoyed greeting, getting to know the patrons, and of course was always well dressed. She was a loving mother and will be deeply missed by her family.
Marilyn is the devoted mother of Stephen Chotkowski and his wife Susan, Susan Neff and her husband Stephen and Donald Pereira. Cherished grandmother of Christopher Chotkowski and his wife Janie, Michael Chotkowski and his wife Heather and Allison Neff. Loving great grandmother of Emersyn, Austin and Oliver Chotkowski and Harper, Tucker and Cameron Chotkowski.
Marilyn's family would like to thank the staff at CedarView Rehab for their kindness and compassionate care to Marilyn and her family.
Family and friends are cordially invited to visiting hours at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (Corner of Park St. and Rt. 28 at the Reading Line) On Monday, October 24th from 10am to 12pm.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated immediately following the service at 12pm at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
