Marilyn "Mrs. Santa" Propst

Marilyn Propst 1939-2017 Marilyn Propst, 78, of Gastonia, NC, went home to be with her Lord on Dec. 20, 2017. She was born on May 5, 1939 to Charles C. Davis and Georgia F. Fulcher. She is survived by her husband and the love of her life, Robert Propst "Santa", 2 brothers, James and Stephen Petrick, 3 sons, Craig, Scott and Darren Phillips, daughter, April Buff, 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Marilyn "Mrs. Santa" was truly a blessing to everyone she met. She loved her Lord and her sweet spirit captivated the hearts of all who knew her! Joy filled her heart each Christmas as the children came to see them. She spent countless hours every year responding to letters from children around the world! She and Santa have been touched by so many lives, words cannot express their love and gratitude. Marilyn loved her family. She was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed planting flowers and helping Santa build a beautiful stream in their yard. They would spend their anniversary in Gatlinburg, Tenn., traveling the streets of the town spreading their love to children of all ages. Marilyn was Santa's beautiful wife. She traveled with him spreading God's word as he would sing. They were always together! We love you Marilyn and look forward to the day we can be with you again! Thank you to all for your continued love and prayers! A service to celebrate Marilyn's life will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Love Memorial Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC. The family will receive friends at the church preceding the service from 12 – 2:00 p.m., and the burial will be at Armstrong Cemetery in Gastonia.
