Alton:
Marilyn Faye Scott, 80, passed away at 11:40am on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 23, 1945, in Alton, the daughter of the late Edwin and Helen (Davis) Manns. She married Robert Scott on September 23, 1965, in Alton, and he survives. Other survivors include a daughter and son in law: Kelly and Tim Wills of Benton, Illinois, a son: Kory Scott of Alton, two grandchildren: Dr. Jordan Wills of St. Charles, Missouri, Mason Wills of Greenville, Illinois, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Marilyn was formerly employed as the athletic director at Villa Rose in Bethalto. She was a member of the former College Avenue Presbyterian Church in Alton. She enjoyed camping.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Sandy Manns, and a brother: Dennis Manns.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Private inurnment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
