Marilyn Sue Simpson

Marilyn Sue Simpson, age 64, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Her sister, Cindy, and aunt, Nancy were at her bedside. She was born in Belleville, IL on September 26, 1961, to Melvin and Betty Marie (McCall) Simpson. She was a 1980 graduate of Collinsville High School. Marilyn loved to cook and play bingo. She loved kids! Up until the day she went to Heaven, anyone she would come in contact with, she would kiss their hand when they were with her. Marilyn was greatly loved. Whenever Marilyn called her sister on the phone she would first say, "I love you," and immediately follow with, "I'm hungry." She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
She is survived by her sister, Cynthia (Conrad) Stark; nephews, Jonathan Stark and Christopher (Lori Gunn) Stark; great-nephews, Anthony and Travis; great-nieces, Sheridan and Abygail; aunts, Nancy Rogers, Alma Penrod, Mary Rogers, and Joan Black and a host of other family members and friends.
A private service will be held at a later date.
