Marilyn June Steffee

Marilyn June Steffee known as June, age 87 of Olney, passed away on February 18, 2026, at Helia Healthcare of Olney.

June was born on June 25, 1938, in Clay City Illinois, the daughter of Ross and Hilda Travis. She married Dale Evans in 1955. They had five children together. She later married Larry Steffee.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Meyer Funeral Home in Olney, Illinois with visitation for 1 hour prior to service. The obituary can be viewed, and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com.

June loved and enjoyed spending time with her family. Her husband was a truckdriver and she went to driving school to get her CDL so she could go with him over the road. Before she drove a truck,she was a hostess for an upscale restaurant in Oklahoma City.

June is survived by her children:

Tracy (Steve) Miller of Calhoun, Illinois; Rodney (Joyce) Evans of Olney; Illinois Roger (Jing) Evans of Milton, Georgia; Holly Evans of Olney, Illinois

Grandchildren: Gregory (Ashley) Ely, Christina (Eric) Pool ,Nicholas (Erin) Evans, Jodie Burdette, Ryan (Fiancé Katie Diel)
 and step-grandchild Dustin (Sharilyn) Miller.

Great-grandchildren:  Lexa and Case Ely; Jackson and Maverick Evans;  Sawyer and Remi Pool; Alexis, Adam Jr. and Aubree Birdette, Isla Hemrich, and step-great-grandchildren; Aher and Oliver Miller.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Larry Steffee, son Robert Evans, sisters Carolyn  Bass-Waggoner and Gliferd Trrunbull, and brother Galen Travis.
