Marilyn Torres

Marilyn Torres, 54, of Waltham, passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of her home on Friday, February 20, 2026.

Born to Ramon and Julia M. Torres on February 02, 1972, in Holyoke, Massachusetts.

Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister, Marilyn was known for her friendly, generous, and giving spirit. She had a special gift in the kitchen and was a great cook and extraordinary baker, especially when it came to creating beautiful wedding cakes. Marilyn had a fondness for all things Tweety Bird and was truly the life of every party, one could always say the celebration didn't truly begin until she arrived. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Jesus M. Tirado.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Teresa McNeil of Boston, MA. and Jessica Martinez and her family of Salem, MA., 6 grandchildren, Marcus, Luis , Brian , Cayden , Zoe and Emery. Her devoted parents, Ramon and Julia M. Torres. In addition, she leaves to cherish her memory her loving siblings whom she shared a special bond, Evelyn Torres, Ramon Torres, Jose Torres, Manuel Malave, Margarita Ramirez, Julio Malave; numerous nieces, nephews, her beloved cat, Tweety, other relatives and dear friends.

True to her love of all things Tweety Bird, she adored and spoiled Tweety with affection, and gentle conversation. Whether relaxing at home after a long day or enjoying quiet moments in the evening, Tweety was always by her side, a constant source of joy and comfort in her life.

At the family's request, a private celebration of Marilyn's life will be held for her family. They would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
