Marilyn Jean Victor passed away on March 3, 2026, at the age of 96. She was born on May 29, 1929, to Harold and Florence (Magnuson) Van Wingerden in Blaine, Washington.
Marilyn grew up in Lynden and attended Lynden High School.
After the end of World War II, she met Richard “Dick” Victor. The couple married on September 30, 1950, in Lynden, Washington, and shared many years together building a life and raising their family.
Marilyn and Dick loved traveling together throughout their retirement and enjoyed numerous nights with very good friends at the VFW #1585.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Victor; her parents, Harold and Florence Van Wingerden; and former daughter-in-law, Linda Powers.
She is survived by her sons, Rick Victor and Kent (Cheryl) Victor; seven grandchildren, Brian (Sakiko) Victor, Brynn (Ryan) Beatty, Kyle Victor, Kendra (Darren) Hogue, Cody (Yuko) Victor, Samantha (Steven) Lamp, and Krissy (Brian) Foreman; and nine great-grandchildren, Sophia, Kosei, Tate, Noah, Hadley, Carmody, Zeth, Esme and Paisley.
Marilyn will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
She will be laid to rest at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale.
