Marilyn Louise
Marilyn Louise Wikman, 91, longtime resident of Muskegon, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024 in Grand Rapids.
Marilyn was born March 8, 1933, the daughter of Robert and Frances Johnson. She attended Muskegon High School and North Park College. She married C. William Wikman on February 14, 1953 and together they enjoyed nearly 60 years of marriage until his death in 2011. She attended Forest Park Covenant Church in Muskegon and later in life First Evangelical Covenant Church in Grand Rapids. She enjoyed reading, traveling, shopping, cooking, baking, and singing in the church choir. She was a friendly talkative, witty woman with a great sense of humor. She will be deeply missed.
SURVIVORS
Children, Judy (Donald) Barkel, James (Milissa) Wikman, Jill (Stephen) Buckley, and Jennifer (Steven) Grimes; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Seagren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; brother, Dale Johnson; and brother-in-law, Daniel Seagren.
SERVICES
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 25, 2024 at First Evangelical Covenant Church 1933 Tremont Blvd NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the start of the service at the Church. A luncheon will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, consider honoring her memory with a donation to Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park or First Evangelical Covenant Church, Grand Rapids

Marilyn & Bill would come to Farmington Hills to take care of their grandchildren(Judy and Dons kids) while they were on vacation. Seems like Don and Judy loved vacations and Marilyn & Bill loved being with their grandchildren
When we moved to Muskegon they welcomed us wth open arms and we became good friends. God Bless !
