Marilyn Mae Mathieu Zanzig, 88, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 from complications relating to COVID 19. Marilyn was the daughter of Philip and Ione (Quick) Mathieu from Footville, Ohio. Survivors include her husband Charles; her son Tommy and his wife Jo Ann from Madison, Ohio and a daughter Pam and her husband Hector from Lexington, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Terry, Philip Jr., and Ralph, and her sisters Daisy Hribar and Louise Torok. Marilyn graduated from Geneva High School in 1950. She later married Charles on June 29, 1951. They were happily married for nearly 70 years. For much of her lifetime she worked as a teacher's assistant and school secretary in the Geneva School System. She retired in 1992. Marilyn cherished many life-long friends. She especially loved children, her church, and feeding hummingbirds. She also had a soft spot for animals and warmly embraced many dog and cat friends throughout her lifetime. Marilyn was a devoted member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Easley. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 333 Summit Street, P.O. Box 10086, Toledo, Ohio 43699-0086.

Chuck and family. so very sorry for your loss. Marilyn will be missed but not forgotten. She was a warm and caring person. May the Lord give you comfort knowing she is in her Saviors loving arms. Peace be with you.
