Boorsma, Marilynn (nee Hawkinson)
Age 87, of Victoria, passed away May 8, 2025.
Preceded in death by beloved husband, David, parents, Helmer and Ellen, brother, Gary, and baby sister, Patty Lou.
Marilynn was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her life was a testament to her unwavering faith and deep commitment to her family. Over the years, Marilynn expressed her creative talent by sewing, knitting, and quilting treasured pieces for her family. She loved music, especially gospel and bluegrass. Marilynn was happiest when she was surrounded by her family, and her legacy of love, generosity, and faith will live on in her children, grandchildren, and the lives of those she touched.
Survived by sons, Mark (Mary), Paul, and Peter (Jennifer); daughters Kari (Bill) Woodson, and Heidi (Kurt) Kloskin; grandchildren, Amy (Chad) Helmer, Ashley Suter, Nicole Suter, Jennifer (Shayne) Harrell, Rika, Lydia and Erin Boorsma, Ben and Hallie Boorsma, Timothy Boorsma; great-granddaughters, Mia, Skylar, Willow and Zoey Helmer; many other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life service will be on Tuesday, May 27, 11:00 am at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 13600 Technology Drive, Eden Prairie. Visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Interment Lakewood Cemetery.
