I was saddened to hear that Marilynn is no longer here to brighten the lives of those around her. She was a dear neighbor when she lived in Dallas and I was privileged to visit her in Phoenix a couple of times. I only just found out about her passing when her Christmas card was returned (2019). I tried to reach Gay, but the number has been changed so I hope she sees this.

Marilynn was a friend and neighbor in Unit 34 PebbleCreek community. She always had a smile on yer face, something positive to say and always promoting the LPGA, her tournament, and her book. We will all miss her.

When I was 17, and worked for the golf course that hosted the LPGA Championship (near Cincinnati) I was asked to take Marilynn to a restaurant in my hometown so she could see it and make reservations. As we left, we passed our town's softball field, built in the 1930's and she told me how it reminded her of one she had played on. When I told her I had a game there the next night, she vowed to be there after her supper event. Low and behold, around the 5th inning, she and her dinner guests arrived to cheer me on! I will never forget how thrilled I was to have such an important person to women's sports, there watching me play. It is a memory I will always cherish. Thank you Marilynn, I hope we meet again on the other side!

She was a very special lady. I looked forward and enjoyed talking with her every year at the founders. She was so sharp with her thoughts and had a great sense of humor. I will miss her very much.
