Marino will always be remembered in our hearts as a true friend. He once gave me and my daughter coveted tickets to The Masters, which was an unforgettable experience for us both. I will always think of him fondly when I watch the Masters every year. His memory will be long cherished by members of the golf community, where he was an accomplished reporter. We feel extremely lucky to have known him.

My deepest condolences to the Paracenzo family. Mapbirdie@aol or gmail was such a great email address for the master storyteller who was probably better at breaking chops than writing. So fortunate to have known and worked with Marino since the late 1970s at Penn State. Working with him at USGA events was always a pleasure. May he rest in peace -- golf will miss him greatly.

My deepest sympathies on the passing of Marino. I will never forget my first trip to Masters with my friend Max Mesing. We ran into Marino and he says "Let me show you our new press building. Just follow me and pretend you know what you are doing." He walked right past the security guards and said these guys are with me. WOW. I thought this guy is really important! The golf community has lost a great friend. RIP

Deepest sympathies on the passing of a legend. I had the privilege of working with Marino when I helped manage the press room at the Mario Lemieux Celebrity Golf Tournaments years ago. He was tough but always so nice to me. I´ll always remember his kindness.
May he rest in peace and his memory be a blessing. Prayers for him and his family.
