Mario Edgardo Sánchez Rivas, age 71, of Tegucigalpa, Honduras passed away in Ligonier, IN on Sunday, November 16, 2025. Mario Edgardo Sánchez Rivera was born on September 3, 1954 in El Paraiso, El Paraiso, Honduras to the late Manuel Sánchez and Concepcion Rivas.
On March 9, 1984, he married Rusbelinda Sánchez Maradiaga. Mario Edgardo Sánchez Rivas graduated from Universidad Autónoma de Honduras, (UNAH.) Mario Edgardo Sánchez Rivas was a lawyer specializing in labor law. He also was a farmer, producer of coffee and a rancher.
Mario Edgardo Sánchez Rivas is survived by; his loving wife, Rusbelinda; four children, Mario Edgardo Sánchez Sánchez of Honduras, Belinda Nickolle Sánchez Sánchez of Honduras, Belinda Giselle Sánchez Sánchez of Estados Unidos, Belinda Maria Sánchez Sánchez of Honduras; six grandchildren.
Mario Edgardo Sánchez Rivas is preceded in death by; his parents, Manuel Sánchez and Concepcion Rivas; three sisters; one brother.
Per Mario Edgardo Sánchez Rivas’s wishes cremation rites will take place. A Celebration of Life and Inurnment will take place at a later in El Paraiso, El Paraiso, Honduras. Yeager Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
