Mario Garcia, 56, passed away on November 16, 2025, in Kerrville, Texas. He was born on April 13, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois, to Cruz Ricardo Garcia and Magdalena Treviño.

Mario spent his childhood between Illinois and Texas and graduated from high school in San Antonio. Hard-working, determined, and deeply family-oriented, he built a successful floor care and janitorial company, La Familia, which he operated for many years in Hondo, Texas.

While working at Tivy High School in Kerrville, Mario met the love of his life, Shelly. Their friendship quickly grew into a strong partnership, and the two were married in 2015. After several years living in Hondo, they returned to Kerrville about two years ago.

Mario was known for his quiet, serious expression that often hid a playful, goofy sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and he found joy in the simple, everyday moments shared with the people he loved most.

He is survived by his wife, Shelly; his son, Mario Garcia (Iris Acosta-Garcia); daughters, Mystie Bairfield and Gabrielle York; siblings, Armando Garcia (Silvia Sanchez), Fernando Garcia, Letty Garcia (Maria Contreras), Serafin Villaneuva, Isreal Villanueva (Veronica Loy), Noemi Villanueva, and Andrea Garcia de la Cruz (Jose de la Cruz); and his cherished grandchildren, Julian Garcia, Lilly Garcia, Jaxon Wrinkle, and Vanessa Bairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Tomas Villanueva.

Mario will be remembered for his hard work, loyalty, humor, and the deep love he held for his family. His presence will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
