Mario P. Molettieri, 88 of Wakefield passed away at his home on Monday October 20 surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Italy, March 26, 1937, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Maria (Ciullo) Molettieri.
Mario was the beloved husband of Giuseppina (Colucci) Molettieri. He was the loving father of Maria Haddad and her husband Joseph of Wilmington and Pasquale Molettieri and his wife Sandra of Pelham, NH. He was the brother of the late Luigi Molettieri and Eva Molettieri Giannattasio. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren, Antoine Haddad, Nicholas Haddad and his wife Cora, Melissa and Megan Molettieri.
Mario has been a Wakefield resident since 1973. Prior to living in Wakefield, he resided in Germany where he studied the art and skill of cabinet making. He moved to Canada in 1960 where he pursued his passion for cabinet making. He and his family subsequently moved to Wakefield where he continued to expand his knowledge and passion for construction. Mario also had a deep love for travel, especially visiting Italy and exploring the beauty of the Caribbean islands on cruises and vacations. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Monday October 27, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, prior to the Funeral Mass from 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mario’s name to Alzheimer's Association, Attn: Donor Services, 225 North Michigan Ave., 17th Floor, Chicago, IL 60601.
