Mario L. Nicassio, age 55 of Penn Hills passed away on Friday February 16, 2024, evening. Loving son of Myrna (Vaglia) and Mario Nicassio. Beloved husband of 31 years to Barry Gray. Brother of Marie (Lou) Fioravanti and Janet Nicassio. Cherished uncle to Michael (Jenna) Fioravanti and Vincent Fioravanti. Loving nephew to Judy Vaglia, Joe Vaglia and Phillip (Linda) Vaglia. Mario loved his dog, Deja.
Mario loved to travel, especially to the Jersey Shore, and all over the world. Mar loved to travel with his partner Barry, and they had many more trips planned but were cut too short on those adventures. Mario was a great cook and enjoyed sharing food with his loved ones and going out to eat. He loved going to antique car shows.
Friends and relatives will be received on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 4 - 7 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139. Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 22 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Penn Hills.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute, Development Department Forbes Tower, Suite 8084, 3600 Forbes Ave. at Meyran Ave. Pgh., PA 15213. Checks made payable to STI.

Barry, I am so very sorry for your loss. I will the miss having him Diane and Jeff´s house for Thanksgiving or Christmas. We always had great conversations and also some laughs. Please k ow that you and his family are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Lori.
