In Loving Memory of Mario Olivas
Mario Olivas, age 52, passed away on August 30, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. A beloved husband, father, and friend, Mario brought joy and laughter to everyone who knew him.
Born with a heart full of generosity and a spirit that never aged, Mario was known for his famous hot dogs—cooked with love and served with a side of humor. His unexpected responses and playful nature kept the family smiling, and he especially cherished time spent with his entire family, always welcoming them with open arms and a kid-at-heart energy that made every visit unforgettable.
Mario worked as a car salesman and later as a facilities operator, where his charm left a lasting impression. He is survived by his devoted wife, Luzema Estrello Olivas; his son, Mario Olivas Jr.; and his daughter, Lydia Olivas.
Visitation will be held at Pecos Funeral Home on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services and Mass will take place at Santa Rosa Church at 10:00 a.m., followed by a procession to Mount Evergreen Cemetery.
Mario’s legacy lives on in the laughter he inspired, the meals he shared, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
