Mario Rivera

Mario Rivera passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, at the age of 92, in Paterson, NJ.
Born on October 17, 1932 in Anasco Puerto Rico. Mario was a kind-hearted, hardworking Father, Mentor and Family Patriarch who deeply loved his family. His passion for swimming, the beach, classic cars, bowling but most of all spending time with his Grandchildren filled his life with joy and brought happiness to those around him.
Mario is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Maria A. Rivera; his brother, Benjamin Rivera; his sister, Bebe Rivera; his sons, Mario Rivera Jr., Henry Rivera, James Rivera, and Wilfred Rivera; and his cherished grandchildren, Justin, Jesse, Kirstin, Sophia, Tyler, and Desi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Inocensio Rivera and Nieves Arroyo Rivera.
A dedicated member of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Mario's faith was an important aspect of his life, guiding him through his journey and providing comfort to his family and friends.
Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate Mario's life at the Martinez Funeral Home, located at 747 Market St., Paterson, NJ, on April 22, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
Mario's legacy will continue to live on through the memories he has created with those who knew him and through the stories they will continue to share. He will be dearly missed.
