M
ario Boyd Romero, a man whose laughter was as contagious as his sense of adventure, took his final curtain call on October 13, 2024, following a motorcycle accident near Rawlins, WY. Born on February 15, 1969, in Salt Lake City, UT, Mario's zest for life was evident from the get-go. He was a man who lived by the belief that if life doesn't come with a laugh track, then you're not doing it right.
Mario's story is one where each chapter was filled with joy, laughter, and the kind of shenanigans that would make even the sternest of faces crack a smile. He was the life of any party, and even in this moment of parting, one can almost hear his chuckle echoing in the memories he's left behind.
As the headliner of his own life, Mario's greatest production was his family. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Braxton Roberts, Elena Romero, Eliza Romero, and Mia Romero (Adren Sinyard). His newest fan, his grandson Roman Sinyard, will no doubt grow up hearing epic tales of Grumpa's escapades. Mario's longtime lady, Rhonda Carter, his steadfast partner in both love and laughter.
Mario also leaves behind his father, Boyd Romero, and his sisters, Toni Ortiz (Phil) and Stephanie Romero (Jr Lousiale). His nieces, Natasha Provost (Wes), Ciarra Carlsson, great niece Mila Provost, and his nephew, Seth Payne (Autumn), all inherited a bit of his humor and will ensure the sound of laughter never fades from the family gatherings.
Mario's loving mother, Mary Ellen Romero, and his grandparents had already taken their bows, leaving him to carry on the family's flair for storytelling.
His friends, an ensemble cast of characters who shared in his many adventures, can attest that Mario never missed a beat. Whether he was on two wheels or two feet, he was always headed towards the next great escapade.
Mario's career was marked by his dedication and leadership as a Divisional Manager for Fortress Development Solutions. He approached his work with the same passion he brought to every endeavor, inspiring his colleagues with his innovative thinking and indomitable spirit. His ability to find humor in challenges and his eagerness to embark on new adventures made him not just a manager but a mentor and friend to all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
Mario never held back from being his authentic self-loving, funny, and adventurous. He didn't just push the envelope; he rode it like a motorcycle, often without a map, but always with a destination in mind: joy.
So, as we close the book on Mario's final chapter, let's not do so with heavy hearts but instead with the spirit of celebration. After all, Mario wouldn't want tears unless they were from laughing too hard. He'd want us to find the humor in the everyday, to seek the thrill in adventurous ways, and above all, to live with love and laughter as our guides.
Mario may have taken his leave from this stage, but the echoes of his laughter will be the standing ovation that resounds in our hearts for years to come. Curtain down, lights out, but oh, what a show it was!
Mario's final resting place will be by his beloved mother in Utah.

Will I have a memory of a time? Me n Mario teamed up. Too play 2 other people. On a game darts at his mom. D n ad's house and he was flustered. He was trying to hard so I don't know I had to take him aside. I had to calm him down and tell him B1 with the darts. Anyway, it worked and we ran the other people out of the the dart game for the night. Wonderful time wonderful memory.
