Marion J. Baldwin

Marion J. Baldwin, 87, a resident of Windsor Park in Carol Stream, Illinois, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026.

She was born on December 19, 1938, in Hamilton, Ontario, to Albert and Ivy Mildon. Her father was killed during World War II when Marion was four years old - a loss that greatly shaped her life. In 1959, Marion graduated from Toronto Bible College. She continued her education at Wellesley School of Nursing, graduating in 1963. That same year, she met and soon married the love of her life, Bill. In 1966, they were appointed to Greece by Greater Europe Mission, where they joyfully served for 50 years, later becoming founding members of what is now the Greek Bible College.

Marion will be remembered for her love of life and laughter. She loved God wholeheartedly and took every opportunity, on a plane trip, or just walking in the neighbourhood, to introduce someone to Him. Her family and friends were blessed as she nudged them gently towards God. She loved people and had many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her son, Jeffrey Baldwin; her sister-in-law, Jean Meyers; brother-in-law, Jerry Salloum; and nephew, Roger Meyers.

She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Macris; Joy (Phevos Papadandonakis) Baldwin; and Kim (Joseph) Kapeleris; her daughter-in-law, Mary Baldwin; eleven cherished grandchildren (William, Paul, Phillip, Danae, Stephanie, Kristin, Lauren, Christie, Stephen, Ellie, and Kai-Li); her siblings, David (Barbara) Mildon and Nancy Salloum; as well as two nieces and six nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 565 Randy Road, Carol Stream, IL 60188. The service will be livestreamed through this link: Memorial Service for Marion Baldwin.
